Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica (Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral)

Today, I visited the Catholic church in Hagåtña called the Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral.
Its official name is Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica, but most people call it Hagåtña Cathedral.
It is located where the first Catholic church was built in Guam.

This is the entrance, but it is usually closed.
You can enter through the gift shop on the left side.

Inside the shop, you can find items for Catholic worshippers.
Before touring the cathedral, please consider making a donation in the box here.
If you follow the arrow to the right, you will reach the chapel.

Once you enter the chapel, you will feel the grand and beautiful atmosphere.
85% of the Chamorro people in Guam are Catholic, and this cathedral was rebuilt in 1959 after being destroyed during World War II.

The beautiful stained glass on the sides and back of the cathedral clearly shows its beauty and sacredness.
I recommend visiting to feel the grandeur, holiness, and beauty for yourself.

There are beautiful sculptures on the walls.

The grand windows on both sides of the chapel are also beautiful.
There is also a place to light candles at the entrance.

After you leave the cathedral, there is a large park next door, called Plaza España.

There are photo spots, so be sure to take pictures and create wonderful memories.

Today, I visited Hagåtña Cathedral (Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica).
This is a place everyone, regardless of religion, should visit at least once.
