Today, we’d like to introduce a fast food restaurant that’s extremely popular among locals: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, located in the food court of Micronesia Mall.
The restaurant opened in May 2021, at a time when the world was still grappling with COVID-19. Although strict restrictions had eased, people in Guam—a small island—were still cautious about dining out.
Since its grand opening, and even now, the reason people consistently line up is simple: the food is delicious. The menu is very straightforward, with chicken fingers as the only main dish. There are three combo meals featuring different numbers of chicken fingers, and one combo that includes a chicken finger sandwich. That’s it—just four menu options.
Each combo includes the signature Cane’s Sauce, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and a drink. The sides are nearly identical across all combo meals.
You can also add extra chicken fingers or sides à la carte. The regular meals are quite hearty, but there is a kids’ menu available for smaller appetites.
While the menu is easy to understand, it’s still reassuring to know that Korean and Japanese menus are available.
Here’s the CANIAC Combo ($19.19), which comes with six chicken fingers, two Cane’s Sauces, a slice of Texas toast, and coleslaw.
The chicken is boneless and incredibly tender—perfect for eating with your fingers, which is why they’re called “chicken fingers.” Be sure to enjoy them with plenty of the special Cane’s Sauce. The Texas toast is also excellent: fluffy and rich with butter.
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers was founded in Louisiana in 1996 and now has around 800 locations across the U.S. While that’s fewer than the major fast-food chains, its popularity speaks to just how tasty the chicken is. In Guam, there’s only one location—inside Micronesia Mall. If you visit Guam, be sure to give their chicken fingers a try!
