When you visit Guam and rent a car, make sure to leave Tumon and take a drive to Hagåtña! This time, we’re introducing Shirley’s Coffee Shop, a popular family restaurant located in Hagåtña.
Driving from Tumon to Hagåtña, passing through Chamorro Village, and enjoying a short seaside drive, you’ll arrive at Shirley’s. It’s located on the first floor of The Residences Marina Bay Guam building, with residential spaces on the upper floors.
The entrance and parking lot are located at the back of the building.
This restaurant opened in January 1983. It was originally inside the Downtown Hotel in Hagåtña, which is no longer in operation. Shirley’s serves Chinese-American cuisine, and its delicious offerings have been loved by many. Today, it has three locations on Guam and two in Saipan.
Popular menu items include pancakes, omelets, and Guam’s favorite, fried rice, which comes in 14 different varieties.
One of the varieties is the Corned Beef Fried Rice, served in a huge plate approximately 30 cm in diameter.
The Chicken Katsu & Cheeseburger features a giant chicken fillet that overflows from the bun.
There are 18 different sandwiches on the menu, including the Clubhouse Sandwich shown here.
The menu also offers a wide variety of meat dishes, seafood, steaks, fried foods, noodles, and more. Every dish is hearty and packed with flavors beloved by the people of Guam.
Inside the restaurant, you’ll find paintings depicting Guam’s landscapes and nature. With its menu and ambiance, it’s easy to see why this place is loved by locals.
