If you have a rental car, one area you want to explore is the Hagåtña district. While this area is home to many historical tourist spots, it does not have a shuttle bus service. So, if you rent a car, be sure to take a trip around Hagåtña.
And, of course, when going out anywhere, food information is always a concern. So, this time, I’ve picked the Agana Shopping Center, where there is a concentration of gourmet spots in the Hagåtña area.
Even though it’s called Agana Shopping Center, you might think that more people come for meals rather than shopping, as there are numerous restaurants, fast food outlets, cafes, and dessert shops.
Let’s count them one by one. First, in the photo above, there are signs for three restaurants around the main entrance.
Capricciosa – Casual Italian restaurant
Vons Chicken – A chicken specialty store with a variety of fried chicken
Sushi Rock – A creative sushi restaurant
Around another entrance, there are three more signs.
4. Cinnabon – A cinnamon roll specialty shop
5. Cha Time – A shop offering a wide variety of cold tea drinks
6. Chan’s Hotdog – A shop serving unique hot dogs
Though not shown in the photos, behind Chan’s Hotdog, there are three more shops.
7. Fizz & Co. – A cafe popular for hot dogs and soda
8. Dr. Kabob – A kebab shop with vegetarian options
9. Tokyo Mart Express – A mini supermarket with a variety of bento (lunch boxes)
Entering through the entrance in the above photo, you’ll find a food stand straight ahead.
10. Poke Seven – A food stand offering poke bowls and sushi
Walking further inside the center, there are two more spots near the central court.
11. Pretzel Maker – A pretzel specialty store
12. Snow Berry – A shaved ice shop that also serves light Korean dishes
Though not directly connected to the shopping center, there are a few more places within the same building.
13. Seoul Mart – A mini supermarket that also sells bento
14. Panda Express – A Chinese restaurant where you can choose your sides
15. Subway – A franchise sandwich specialty store
At the far end of the building, there’s a popular fast food chain.
16. Wendy’s – A franchise fast food chain
It doesn’t stop there! In the shopping center parking lot, there are four more fast food and cafe options.
17. Pizza Hut – A franchise pizza restaurant
18. Taco Bell – A franchise taco restaurant
19. Jollibee – A Philippine-based fast food chain serving burgers and fried chicken
20. Sling Stone Cafe – A coffee shop from Guam
That’s 20 gourmet spots at the Agana Shopping Center. From Western food to Asian cuisine, famous franchise brands to sweets and coffee, there’s something for everyone. Although there isn’t a traditional food court inside the shopping center, with all these dining options located within one property and walking distance from each other, it’s more than enough.
Once you’ve finished exploring Hagåtña and worked up an appetite, head over to Agana Shopping Center. The parking lot is also very spacious.
