What do I need to rent a car?

Please bring the license of whoever will actually be driving, a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Diners), and a passport. If the driver's own name isn't on a card, a travel companion's card is fine. Should the driver and the person paying be two different people, we'll need both of their passports.

Cash, debit cards, and prepaid cards aren't accepted for payment. If no one in your group has a credit card, take a look at our page on renting with cash instead.
