The $100 preauthorization is not an extra fee

A $100 preauthorization hold is placed on the credit card at departure. It temporarily reserves part of the card’s available credit; it is not a payment transferred to e Rent-A-Car. The release timing may depend on the card provider.

Published charges you can often prevent

• Wrong fuel: Regular vehicles require regular unleaded; the specified Camaro models require premium unleaded. Wrong fuel triggers a $400 NOC charge, a $150 service fee, and fuel-replacement cost regardless of insurance.
• Return fuel: Official pages contain both “same level” and “full tank” wording. Check the rental agreement; the safer procedure is to fill the specified fuel on the return date and keep the receipt. Excess fuel is not reimbursed.
• Interior condition: The terms list $100 for excessive sand, $300 for heavy mud or stains, and $450 for orange dirt requiring detailing and deep cleaning.
• Smoking and pets: Smoking is prohibited. Cigarette or marijuana odor is listed at $250; an unauthorized pet can result in a charge starting at $100.
• Keys and battery: Lost or wet keys and renter-caused battery discharge can cost $200–$800 depending on the condition. A reported missing key is replaced for security even if later recovered.

Included LP and three optional protections

The base rate includes liability protection (LP) for qualifying injury and property damage to others. The published limits are $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident for bodily injury, plus $50,000 per accident for property damage. Damage to the rental vehicle and loss-of-use charges require separate review.

• CDW: An optional waiver for qualifying car-to-car collisions when both operators are present. A $1,000 deductible remains. The terms list $12 per day for sedans and $17 for RVs, vans, and convertibles.
• ZDW: Waives the $1,000 CDW deductible and may be added only with CDW. The listed price is $10 per day.
• NOC waiver: Waives the non-operation charge while a damaged vehicle is unavailable. Without it, the listed charge is $250 when drivable and $400 when not drivable or not rentable. The listed price is $7 per day.

Select protection according to the vehicle class, rental length, registered drivers, and the out-of-pocket risk you can accept. No option makes every possible charge disappear.

• Failure to report an accident, obtain a police case number, or remain at the scene

Register every person who may drive. The terms list an additional driver at $5 per person per day and an unauthorized-driver fee of $100. Damage involving an unregistered driver is excluded from coverage.

After an accident, contact police and the office immediately

Secure the scene, call Guam Police at 911, and notify e Rent-A-Car immediately. Obtain the police case number and document the scene, other vehicle, plate, and damage. Delayed or missing reporting can invalidate coverage.
